Gonzalo Parrado Hernando
Gonzalo Parrado Hernando (Valladolid, 1993). Mechanical Engineer by the University of Valladolid. He has worked with genetic algorithms to develop an original code which optimizes offshore wind farms in the Energy Department of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Thanks to this stay, he could develop his Final Degree Project.
Currently, he works as a researcher in the Group of Energy, Economy and Dynamic Systems. He is studying the capability of renewable energies to satisfy the Spanish electricity demand, considering its intermittence. Other topic studied by Gonzalo is the influence of the Principal Component Analysis methodology applied to economic Input-Output matrices. In addition, he collaborates with the European project MEDEAS.
